I

"Can I ask? Mother, oh Mother dear!
What shall we call that bright little sphere?
Isn't it beautiful? Surely I am right?
I want it to be forever in my sight!"

II

"Fate, daughter dear, choose whatever may!
It belongs to everyone, ignore what others say.
Let your imagination run, I will not forbid,
whether it be Alune, Mischech or Obeed."

III

"What makes you say so, Mother?
Are you familiar of such or another?"
The little girl crawled up to her lap,
resting her head whilst looking up.

IV

Intently the mother gazed upon her,
combing the daughter's wavy hair.
Of amber hue its color was,
in contrast to blonde that mother has.

V

"That my dear is called a moon,
visible only to people after noon.
In my world, we call ours Luna,
with other names Talaria and Aulna."

VI

And Fate rolled over, now facing her mother.
Eyes filled with enthusiasm, she took a gander.
"Is it blue and magnificent like this one?
Whose strength and magnitude rivals the sun?"

VII

"Unfortunately it doesn't, it is fallen;
Of mirrors, it's light is also stolen.
Through the sun it glows at night,
exhibiting, upon all else, false light."

VIII

"Right now, you are of comparison,
but freedom is already in the horizon.
Painful it may be, soon I shall leave you.
Of which I plead, understand my beau."

IX

"So now, pick up your quill!
Give it a name before my farewell.
From now on you shall be like it,
beautiful, strong and self-lit."

X

"Efilmarge, that is its name!
Let those who bask in it feel no shame!
It will be the symbol of confidence,
of serene and unhindered cadence!"

XI

The mother tucked Fate to slumber,
after such a long and tiring number.
"Go... sleep tight daughter dear,
your brother and I will always be here."
A simple poem of mine, the setting is in a fictional world that is just newly created. The people mentioned are not actually people, in a sense they are like entities.

The mother is a goddess from another area, of whom visits the place and decided to take care of the young fate and her sibling. XD

I don't know if the poem is any good, but I hope it is decent enough.
